About Me,
MJ Faze
Singer-songwriter known as FAZE,
is an L.A. based pop artist with an unearthly charismatic and sultry-voice ready to hit the main stage with a new song release on the horizon to add to his collection of music. The San Diego native spent years grappling with his identity and finding a sense of belonging—a struggle complicated by his being diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at the age of seven, his intent is to make his art as inclusive as possible.
From his earliest years music provided some salvation for Faze. As a poet, he added singing to his repertoire around the age of ten. Before long, Faze had become a soloist and star member of the choir, a path he further pursued by moving to L.A. with his mother and sister at the age of 16 in order to attend a school renowned for its show choir and performing-arts program. By his early 20s, he’d begun joining in songwriting sessions for leading artists, which went a long way in sharpening his songcraft and refining his vision for his own work.

The making of Eclipse, his debut album marked a major creative breakthrough for Faze, produced by Dan and Tom Glashausser (aka Glashaus, a duo known for their work with artists like Moxie Raia). Eclipse unfolds in a lushly textured form of alt-pop spiked with mind-bending beats, hypnotic guitar tones, and delicate piano work. A brilliant backdrop to Faze’s voice, a glorious conduit for everything from lust to loneliness to unbridled joy.
More recently, Faze released a single titled “Talk to Me” with Kode Pink, a Los Angeles based DJ duo. This was an introduction back to the music scene after a hiatus due to Covid. Creating music that is relatable has always been the underlying tone and message he wants to send to his listeners.
Faze, is now getting ready to release his second single after stepping back into the music scene. This new song is produced by Willy Beaman, a renowned Hollywood music producer. Through his life experiences, he prides himself on keeping his music different from the next and staying unpredictable. With his background in performance he loves to put on a show! He says “I’ve been told I sing better live than in my recorded music. I've noticed that people love to engage with me when I am on stage.”
Closing out with an epic yet nuanced message of empowerment from MJ Faze, “I want to end by telling everyone, ‘No matter what you’ve been through or how low you feel, you’ve got to keep going, just like the waves. You absolutely have a purpose here, and nothing can hold you back.”
